Interdependence Day

It didn’t end on July 4th, 1776. It began!
Today many fear and despair. Because they look but they do not see. Their view is low and limited.
Nowhere is this more evident than in the Declaration of Independence, which was not written, but ratified on July 4 1776.
Before there was a country, there were warriors.
The warriors, native and colonist, became militia.
The militia became soldiers.
The soldiers became the Continental Army.
When armed conflict between bands of American colonists and British soldiers began in April 1775, the Americans were ostensibly fighting only for their rights as subjects of the British crown.
By the following summer, with the Revolutionary War in full swing, the movement for independence from Britain was full blown.
The Continental Congress reconvened on July 1. And the following day twelve of the thirteen colonies adopted Lee’s resolution for independence.
The process of consideration and revision of Jefferson’s declaration (including Adams’ and Franklin’s corrections), continued on July 3 and into the late morning of July 4, during which Congress deleted and revised some one-fifth of its text.

The delegates made no changes to that key preamble, however, and the basic document remained Jefferson’s words. Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence later on the Fourth of July (though most historians now accept that the document was not signed until August 2).
So, the import of the date is a matter of perspective. Back then Congress actually worked. But the world’s most famous document can be seen from many perspectives, if one has eyes to see.
The key line, the most quoted the vital phrase is actually all about interdependence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
First, the right to life, has at long last, by God’s grace been restored to man’s laws in America, by the Supreme Court!
In a very real sense, we are literally starting over, declaring we will protect under our most vulnerable and most precious.
Next the truth is self -evident, that we are clearly interdependent on our Creator not just for life, but for for rights.
Second, since we are all creatures, that is creations of the Creator, we are all of equal worth, and thus, interdependent on each other.
Britain which means originally covenant nation, had brought civilization to the next step.
America or Merica, an ancient Mid-Eastern word means perfect land, of the star. We had been interdependent upon Britain.

The colonists were totally dependent on the compassion and of the first nations already here. The Wampanoag nation was unfortunate to be among the first people in the Northeast United States to have contact with European explorers and later English colonists in the early 16 th and 17 th centuries.
At first things went well between the Wampanoag tribes and the English, but after some years the two peoples went to war.
This was after the Wampanoag had fed the colonists and saved their lives when their colony was failing in the harsh winter of 1620-1621.
DAWN’S EARLY LIGHT
The meaning of the name Wampanoag is beautiful: People of the First Light. They first see the dawn early light. Sound familiar? What sustained these peoples?
In the southwest the ancient wisdom civilizations modified teosinte into Indian maize corn, which in turn gave rise to the great Cahokia mound civilizations, greater than London town in its day.
Further south the ancestors of the Ayamara brought forth the potatoes.
Together these sacred medicine foods ended the famines of the Americas and Europe.
But those long-gone civilizations grew into bloody sacrifice, which in turn gave way to the rise of the free tribes, and the great Iroquois Confederacy, founded by Deganaweda, teacher of Hiawatha.

By rejecting the corruption of our Constitution, and re-affirming our Creator endowed gifts of life and right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
